Accept Your Challenges


Challenges are a part of life. There is not one person reading this that has not gone through challenges. Many of us have the tendency to see a challenge as a defeat. That's the wrong attitude. Take a look back over your life and recall some of the challenges that you had; some larger than others. You are still here and you made it through. Whether you pushed through, cried your way through, struggled through; you made it! That's where the victory comes in. You can look at a challenge with a defeatist attitude and muddle your way through it, or you can look at it with the victory in mind.

See the image of a dark tunnel in you mind. Whether you can see the end, you do know that it exist and that there is light there. Try to look at your challenges that way. You may not see the victory, but you can be certain that it is there.

There is no escaping life's challenges. They will continue to appear, sneak up on us, knock on the door... But you can look at them differently. Having a defeatist attitude; a "glass half empty" mentality is counter productive. It does nothing for you. It makes you feel sad and like you are unable to accomplish things. Once that feeling of lack of accomplishment sets in, then comes the feelings of worthlessness and low self-esteem. These are two things that are simply, terrible for your emotional health and well being.

This week if a challenge arises in your life be it small or large, look it in the eye and say to it, "I will be victorious!" "I see you challenge, but that is all you are." "I will be stronger as a result of you." "I will get through this." "I may not see the light, but I know that it's there."

Accept the challenge, take it on and see your victory!
