Grace by Christian definition is the free and unmerited favor of God. Faith is belief in, confidence in, trust in...I have the faith; the belief that something exists; that something will take place. We can have faith in someone. We can have faith in God's power; belief in Him without having seen Him.
God's immeasurable Grace is bestowed upon us each day that we wake up. Each day that I wake up and thank Him for His grace, my faith in Him increases. I read that Grace is God's part and faith is our part, to put it simply.
So what does His grace and my faith have to do with wellness? Knowing that His grace is bestowed upon me; thinking about the unmerited favor that I receive from Him daily, keeps my spirits lifted. God's grace is a part of my spiritual well being. My faith is strengthened through His grace.
Faith, my work...my part...my belief, has the ability to sustain me in the tough times. There are times when the body suffers or something "bad" happens. In those times I/we can tap into our faith that things will get better. Having faith and hope not only help us to feel better physically but it keeps our spirits elevated.
By "His" grace I am... Through "my" faith, I can lift my own spirits. I can keep my sprit healthy.
Faith is a strong tool for emotional and spiritual wellness. It's not always easy to tap into, but once you have practiced putting it into motion, it can turn your sad emotions around. It can give you hope when it seemed that all hope was lost.
Once you learn how to exercise your faith through work and action and through thankfulness and gratitude, something that may have ruined you in the past will now give you the strength to press on and push through.
The power of grace and faith together can help you to see the light at the end of the tunnel when all you saw before was darkness. I am a witness.
Grace and faith...Spiritual stability...Spiritual wellness...
Mind, body, spirit...Keep all three healthy...
