Stop...Take in the View

Every now in then we need to stop, breathe and take in the view around us. If that means taking a few hours to get away from your normal surroundings, by all means do it. This weekend, I did just that. Riding along a free road with good company, admiring the bright colored leaves and catching a breath taking sunset gave me a sense of peace; a sense of calm. I was able to leave thoughts of this week's meetings, work obligations and household chores behind for just a bit.

There are so many great views around us but in our busy and hectic lives we often miss them. During our normal travels of seeing and/or not seeing the same things each day can blind us to the beauty that is around us. Having the chance to briefly break away, will give you a chance to notice things again.

If you are able to, step away even for just twenty-four hours like I did. Give yourself the opportunity to view things through a less hectic lens. Bring a renewed sense of calm to your body. You will feel it instantly begin to relax. Your mind will stop racing with what you need to do next and your spirit will be at peace.

New scenery, different sounds and different views, can refresh and refuel you if you just take the moments.

There is beauty all around us but sometime we need a change of location to clear our minds of daily monotony so that we can appreciate it.

Fill your mind, body and spirit with the beauty that surrounds you. Take a brief respite; an escape to clearly capture it.

The mind operates best when it's not cluttered. The spirit works best when it is not weighed down. The body works best when it is rested. As they say on the television show, The View..."Take a little time and enjoy the view." ...and I say, you'll feel better and will be glad that you did. I promise.
