This is not going to be some sob story message to make anyone feel sad. What it, is, is something to remind us that everyone has a story and there may be something hidden behind the smile. What it is, is something to tell us to lift the mask and reveal and release our story. What it is, is something to tell you, ladies, that yes we are superwomen and yes we do carry sadness and that it is ok to be flawed and super at the same time.
This message is a message to free someone to come out from behind the mask. No matter how strong you are there is something capable of shaking you, worrying you, saddening you... No matter how much you've overcome there may be something behind the smile that you haven't shown or dealt with. Guess what ladies, it's ok.
Be vulnerable and super. Vulnerability shows strength. It takes courage to show your weaknesses. It takes courage to show that you don't always have it all together. It takes a superwoman to admit that she is not always on top; that she does fall, that she does cry, that she does want more, want to do more and want to be more.
Everyone has a story behind the smile. While the smile is not always hiding something, in some cases it is. Smiles are great and they can literally lift our spirits. In fact, they take much less energy than frowning; even when the smile is forced. However, what I'm challenging every woman and girl to do, is to embrace her story and release the mask. Your story is yours and it is what makes you , you. Own your truth, deal with the you in the mask and the you behind it.
Sure we may fake a smile here and there because we really don't feel like it, but it's the smile that we put on to fool others that nothing is going on that we need to reflect on. Have you been masking something for years that it has just become a part of your face? Why not remove it, start new and unleash what you have been hiding? Be free from the bondage of the mask.
We all cover up things but why not be our total selves? If we have things to work on that's fine. Do the work and get down to what the mask truly represents. Who are you? Are you the mask or someone buried deeply behind it?
Let's unmask ourselves, free ourselves and embrace ourselves! It's ok.
Remember you are super with your flaws and your weaknesses. Come from behind the mask. I did and still am!
