Spring Break and Enjoy!

Just what exactly does spring break mean? Whether you are vacationing on a sandy beach, walking through a park, spending time with family or spending quiet time alone; the key word is "BREAK".

A break is a pause in activity such as work, school or daily routine. Many of us have the opportunity to take a pause. Some of us have jobs that allow this. Others of us take off when our children are off from school and some of us take vacation days for ourselves. During this time, really consider what it means to "SPRING BREAK".

Often times, people use this time to spring clean, redecorate, purge, make doctor appointments...

These things are not necessarily a pause. Yes, they need to get done, but what happens is , we work during the entire break never to have taken a break at all. We return to work feeling just as tired as we did when we left.

Consider this; spring cleaning can be accomplished in intervals. It can also be accomplished on a weekend. Set aside one or two weekends before spring break and get it done. Purging can literally take place on a daily basis. If you've looked at an item several times and thought about throwing it out, just do it. Why wait? If you came across something that you forgot about, odds are, you don't need it. Consider making doctor appointments in the evenings. Set a month aside before you go on break.

We don't pause enough. We go, and go, and go and burn ourselves out. If you are blessed to have a spring break, take advantage of it if you can. Practice the true meaning of "BREAK". Pause, read a new book, get some much needed sleep, wiggle your toes in some sand, take a walk without rushing or binge watch Netflix. Your mind, body and spirit can use a reset. Allow each part to rejuvenate so that you are fresh and ready when the break is over.

1, 2, 3...BREAK!
